CrossFit Games 2021 are nearing, and many CrossFit Games 2021 participants are extremely excited. Other than the traditional CrossFit Games, events for women will be held. Women's competition

The women's competition at the 2021 Crossfit Games began this morning with the swim event. Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr and Jonne Koski won in the first event. Pegboard contest

Pegboard was an original feature at Crossfit Games 2021. It was added to Crossfit Games' summer Olympic program alongside double-unders & dumbbell overhead Squats. Toomey-Orr, who won 30 games events, holds the record of most wins in one Games event. Sager won Event 11 and became the Games' third winner. The Pegboard contest tests a competitor's grip strength and coordination. The competitors compete by holding two wooden stakes between their fingers. Cutting system

CrossFit Games uses a cutting system to judge individual competition. It's not as extreme as the cuts used in past Games, but still very different than this year. Because the competition is made up of 15 events, a cut to 30 athletes after the seventh or eighth event is very likely. CrossFit must also answer the question of how it will adjust the points following cuts. It's probable that the scoring table used for the 2019 games will remain nearly the same as the one used in 2021.

This year's field consists of 236 athletes, making it the largest in the history of the CrossFit Games. Major cuts are made at the six initial events. The field is reduced to 75 athletes. The top thirty athletes then compete in a sprint team to determine the top 10. The top 20 athletes will then compete in the six remaining events. Castro's system was strongly criticised by former Games participants, who felt that cuts were too substantial.

Reebok equipment

Reebok has released new CrossFit Games shoes, clothing and equipment. The Nano X1 is the new shoe. They are made to meet multiple fitness needs. Reebok claims this shoe is "the shoe that will fit all your fitness needs," but it's more like a regular training shoe. Reebok's contract with CrossFit will end at the end of 2020, and the Games will be without a title sponsor. Reebok has sponsored the Games for more than a decade. However, Reebok CrossFit Games will no longer be called the company.
